Kulala

I don't think there are enough superlatives to describe today. We slept on the roof of our hut under a brilliant sky and bright moon.
 

We were woken at 5am and could see the Milky Way above us (once I put my glasses on!) 

The early start was so that we could see the sunrise over the dunes.

 

The lodge has a private entrance into the park so we were the first humans to walk on this dune, various beasties had been there before...

 

 

Toilet facilities were rather basic...

 

We stopped briefly at the 1st dune that can be climbed, but the selfie stick wielding masses had already arrived so our guide drove further on and I achieved one of my favourite things - climbing a dune and then running down it - weeheee!

 

 

This dead tree is about 900 years old and this photo is quintessential Namibia

 

As it is so, so hot, the afternoon consisted mostly of zzzzzzzzzzzzz
