Erongo mountains

I started the day with a thoroughly enjoyable 5 mile run by the ocean. All the other runners and walkers smiled and said hello - rather different to my run in London at the same time last week! The Namibians were all wearing winter kit in the drizzle, my face was a delightful beetroot after 5 minutes.
After another yummy bacon and eggs breakfast, we drove 250km to Erongo Wilderness Lodge in the highlands.
The road was lined with enormous ant hills

The railway is a bit different to our usual commuting line

 The Fuss is getting nervous...

The lodge is stunning, perched on the edge of a granite outcrop, surrounded by beautiful birds, very funky lizards and I suspect lots of munching mozzies - they are probably sharpening their teeth as I type

We went on a spectacular sunset walk with a lovely, very knowledgeable guide who happened to be a Chelsea supporter and taught me how to take a doppelgänger photo

I do like a glass of Sauvignon on top of a rock at sunset

And this may be my best sunset photo ever

This one is pretty good too
